Before the music starts Billy actually sees the car accident in the distance and it actually has a loud crash in the video.
(The music starts) Billy's driving (black Mercedes) in a really bad rain storm. He is nearing the tragic car accident. The lights of all the cars and vehicles are getting brighter and brighter. By some force he know that it's his lover. Natural instinct. He gets out of the car. He's in black head to toe including a black trench coat. The policeman there is syncing the words as they are being sung ("lost in motorcrash, gone in a flash") to explain to Billy what happened to his lover. Suddenly, the music stops. Billy then sees his lover there (out of her body (a ghost)). He knows that she's on her way to Heaven. She catches droplets of rain in her hand while holding Billy's as if almost putting them in Billy's hand almost as if making a memory in his mind that she died on a rainy night. She then fades away. He looks up to Heaven (all the Heaven things are sung, but not actually by Billy as there is actually no singing in the video actually done by the band.) He then thinks of how he is going to be able to carry on without her. ("Do you know...") He is then thinking how could the Heavens have done this to him and how could she leave, he then looks at her dead, but beautiful, ghostly body(" where is your heart?"... "tear me apart from you"). She then reappears ('I saw you there"), then kisses Billy, he looks at her as if when he was looking at the Heavens previously, she then goes on "for taking you away". As the music plays, it shows black and white memories of Billy's from ther past, as the music speeds the memories go faster and faster. "the lights..." Billy sees the full accident again in fast motion but the cars don't actually hit until "nitrous overcast" and actually hit about 3 or 4 times (listen to the song. it helps). Flashback to the scene again. The angel is then there from "do you know..." to the end of the song and at "where has your heart run to?", Billy actually sings this to the angel, she fades away, and he lowers his head. By: brick10 : brick10@prolog.net The orchestral music in the beginning starts. It is a dark night. Billy is driving a car on a road through the woods. He looks ahead to a certain spot. He stops there and a flashback comes to him. Take note this is all in slow motion. The quiet music begins. It flashes to where he is walking down the road. He is wearing a black trench coat. He sees a light ahead and it's a car. It is drawing closer to him. Right when the loud music starts up again, (I saw you there..) the bright light from the car flashes before him. A woman, someone he apparently knows, appears before him. He raises his hand to touch her and she slowly fades away. Then it shows him walking down the road again. By this time he is singing along with the words. (Do you know the way that I can) As he walks, cars go by and the lights flash. He keeps walking as he sings but right before the chorus starts up again, he stops. He says (I saw you there...) as the woman appears again. He stops singing at the line( you kissed me cold...) as she kisses him with no expression. Then she slowly walks backwards as she slowly fades away again. That's when the quiet music begins and there is no singing. It flashes to where Billy is in the passenger seat of a car and the woman is driving. They sit silently as the quiet music plays. Just before the loud music starts to play again, Billy and the woman turn, look at eachother, and turn away. A tear drops down her face and they both fade away as the music starts again. The music plays with no singing and for a while they just show cars going by. When the singing starts again, Billy is now walking down the road again. He is not singing along though until the line says(Do you know the way that I can..) He glances at the cars going by as he says (Tear me apart, Tear me apart from you..) Then as he sings the last line(Where has your heart run to..) he stops to find his car. And the song ends with him standing there. 'Lights came on fast' Billy braces himself against the wind singing into old radio style mic. 'I saw you there... ' Billy starts rocking out still bracing himself against the wind playing his guitar 'DO you know the way that.' Flashback to Billy's childhood having a picnic on the very cliff he sings on ... flying a kite... cute kids stuff. ' I saw you there....' Billy visiting a grave ... putting black roses on it....angels of death watching him... Musical part starts ... he remembers all his sorrow ... then just rocks out when the tempo picks up. 'The lights came to pass'... Bracing himself against the wind again ... edges closer to the edge...looking over watching the back waves crash against the shore... 'Where is your heart...' The lights switch on to the ringing of a phone. "The lights came on fast..." Billy picks up the phone "lost in motor crash." He runs out and sees a crashed car "I saw you there" he pulls out of the car a corpse. In a flash the ambulance comes and takes the body and puts it on a stretcher. He watches the truck and James and D'Arcy (as cops) ask him to go home. He walks off into a field and sees the ghost of the corspse. He tries reaching out to the image, but it disappeares. He remembers when the dead girl was alive. He was chasing her all the way to the field, he catches her "You kissed me cold" she kisses him. Then it starts to rain. "Lights come on fast, lost in motor crash, gone in a flash unreal in nitous over cast" the flash back of holding the corspe. Then to him singing the ending part. It rains throughout the entire video. ~Video opens: during drums, big white flash & camera pans back from an old, 50's-style car w/ a young couple dead in the front seat. ~*.lights came on fast.*~camera pans to a solemn-looking girl who's standing in the middle of the road. She has her hands closed together & she's looking down at them, there's a white light glowing through them. ~*.to watch you numb.*~ camera zooms in on girl's face ~*.I saw you there.*~ girl looks into camera & camera zooms into her eyes & then zooms out of Billy's eyes. ~*.you held the rain.*~ Billy & band are playing in a courtyard when it begins to rain. ~*.for taking you away.*(drums begin)~camera points towards sky w/ balck raindrops falling ~*.do you know the things.*~camera points back down to a street where the girl is walking w/ her hands still closed tightly. Camera circles around her. ~*.where is your heart.*~camera goes back to show the band driving in a black car (another old-style car) ~*.you laugh the light.*~shows band pulling up to the scene of the auto accident where police/ medics are pulling the couple away in body bags. ~*.I saw you there.*~Billy looks towards the sky & camera goes back to the girl still walking. ~(during piano)~ girl turns to a stone wall w/ a big, black wrought-iron gate. She opens the gate & walks into a courtyard. She goes & stands in the middle of it. ~(instruments start again)~ band is in the car, driving again. ~*.the lights came to pass.*~camera pans back from band's car to an aerial shot of it driving down the road. ~*.do you know the way that I can.*~girl looks up at the sky & walks out of the courtyard to where the band's car pulls up. The headlights shine onto the girl. The band gets out of the car. ~*.where is your heart.*~Billy walks up to the girl & they look into each other's eyes. ~*.where has your heart run to?*~Billy looks down at her hands (her hands are glowing brightly) & puts his hands over hers & begins to open them. ~There is a big white flash (like the beginning) as he opens her hands up. ~Video ends w/ and aerial shot of the band's car driving down the road.

i had this vision of billy walking down a cobblestone sidewalk, in vampire garb (think "interview with the vampire"), its a black night with dim orange street lamps placed here and there. during acapella rant: billy is standing on a street corner, staring at a woman. she is staring back at him but is seeming to look straight thru him. he is giving his evil face the way he always does until the rant ends: "i saw you there" the lady begins to walk down the street and billy turns his head in a slow blur and procedes to follow her. he is walking in beat to the song. "do you know the way that ican" billy is having flashbacks of random car crashes and violent fights with some unknown woman for the remainder of this chorus. "i saw you there" the woman looks back to find billy staring her down and grinning evily , like a vampire would do after someone walks in on him drinking the blood of his victem. he walks up to her and acts as though hes going to kiss her, and then throws her off, and she procedes to walk faster, trying to get away from him. instrumental: everything is in one step below slow motion, you see the lady run into the street, trying to escape billy, and then you see two oncoming headlights, the car nowhere in sight. she is hit. as soon as the guitars and drums come in: it starts raining blood and billy looks to the sky as if to give a cry of horror and sacrafice. the blood just keeps coming down in slow drops. "tear me apart from you" the woman hit is the woman from his flashbacks, cept in the locket she is wearing around her neck, is a picture of the car that hit her. end of song: billy takes her wrist gently and procedes to take a bit of blood, savoring it, turns around with his love in his arms, drops her, and walks down a hidden alleyway, with his white shirt cuffs now stained red, as well as his lips. By Julie: the_one_he_adores@yahoo.com -black & white- -music starts- and you see a night sky bearing stars of all different shapes, some shooting. -lyrics start- and you see someone with a big black unbrella walking, praticly tripping (airplane view)where its raining on a dark street (semi crowded) the raindrops seem to drop with the beat -"I saw you there..."- camera view moves so it's facing right in front of the girl's (who is holding the unbrella) face. she has long stringy black hair, thin eyebrows, her drowned eyes (wich is smeered with mascara) show signs of sleepless nights. She is very pale and has a long black chiffon dresse that hang down her bony thin body. as she walks down the street her hair floats and bobs up and down possesed by the wind. Her face is expressionless. -"and for the first time heaven seemed insane..."- she stops in the middle of the sidewalk (camera view still on her face) as poeple walk pass her. and she suddenly smiles (mildly) and closes her unbrella, dropping it to the ground (airplane view again) she holds her hands half way up as if ketching raindrops (like little children do). -"do you know the way that I can..."- close up to her eyes intel the camera view is totally black. The sceen then fades in, only to show a weeping willow tree. ghostly women and men dressed in victorian (you know those puffy skirts and top hats like in sense & sensibility) stroll around almost as if having a picnic in the middle of the night & disapear. -"where is your heart..."- now it's a sceen with the same girl from the street except she is on the edge of a cliff. her face is loking strait at the camera. She looks very beautiful for her body is eclipsing the moon and her hair and dress are tangled around her body from the wind. It's not raining, yet her hair is soaked from the rain. -"tear me apart..."- her head is moving so it's facing the cliff. -"I saw you there..."- you can now see the girl walking down the street as though the last 2 sceenes never happened. the rain drops are druming on her unbrella and the wind sings. -music stops- this sceene (it's earlier than dawn,the time of the morning when the the crickets are still cricketing) starts with a man who (father? boyfreind? billy?) exits his house in a robe because his instincts tell him something is wrong so he starts running intel he stops in his tracks... -music starts again- (camera shows the mans face then moves to where he is starring at) -"the lights came to pass"-theres a mob outside. you see a car crash with a smashed car. And in front of it, on the road theres a big pool of blood. yet the only thing that lies there is a big black unbrella. The driver gets out of his car and points at the stained road in amazement as though he saw a ghost. -"tear me apart..."- and now you see a night sky bearing stars of all different shapes, some shooting. thee end ~*~ love mira B: a href=mailto:melinam@gte.net>melinam@gte.net |
