For around five seconds until the piano begins, the scene shows a small lake at night, with the moon shining overhead. The reflection of the moon can be seen on the water, where a rowboat can be made out being rowed by one person whose face cannot be seen,just his sillouhette. In the distance beyond the lake, the viewer can see a horse-drawn carriage slowly moving along and a small cottage with the lights on downstairs.Crickets, the wind, and other “night sounds” can be heard.
(Piano begins) The camera slowly begins zooming in, across the distance of the lake, passing over the boat and toward the horse-drawn carriage. The “night sounds” fade away. The camera views through a small criss-crossed window in the carriage where D’Arcy and James are sitting in elegant Victorian era clothes. (As the view is completely inside the carriage, the first line is sung) “Horses run once in a while for you” The picture is tinted brown slightly to give it that “aged and historic”effect. D’Arcy is wearing a “poofy” white gown and has her hair up in curls. Her hair looks virtually white,and she is wearing dark maroon lipstick and eyeshadow. James is wearing a funky suit similar to the one he was wearing in the “Tonight Tonight” video with his hair pulled back into a ponytail behind his head. She is laughing heartily, and he is drinking from a glass of red wine. The camera angle starts pulling backward and through a window on the other side of the carriage. “The shades will drop once in a while for you” As the camera is now completely outside the carriage, the viewer can see James closing the shade. During the next two lines, the camera pans back to the row boat,zooming in slowly. Lots of stars can be seen over the forest on the other side of the lake.“Destiny will have a sense of your touch Once in a while” The camera pulls a 180-degree turn and starts zooming in toward the window in the cottage where Billy’s big bald-headed sillouhette can be seen. Toward the third repetitionof “Once in a while for you,” the camera speeds up and zooms through the window and into the room where a grand piano with a vase of flowers on it can be seen. There are lots of pictures, mostly portraits and landscapes. There is also a roaring fireplace. “Once in a while for you Once in a while for you Once in a while for you” The camera turns back toward Billy standing in the window, and the viewer can see the lake over Billy’s shoulder. Billy is wearing a simple black turtleneck and black pants. As he sings the next two lines, the viewer can see five jets flying in formation over the lake leaving a huge trail of smoke behind them in the shape of the SP Heart.“The Soldiers will fall once in a while for you "The shades will crawl once in a while for you” Billy closes the shade, and begins to walk toward the piano. He looks rather emotional as he sings the next few lines. He sits at the piano and begins playing energetically through the end of the verse. It kind of resembles the picture of him from RollingStone a few years ago during the MCIS-era, except he’s bald now, of course. “You'll take the walls I will take the pain away Once in a while Once in a while It's you Once in a while It's you Once in a while You'll make it on your own You'll make it so alone Feel so alone” The camera begins trucking back through the window about half-way through the piano solo, and begins speeding up at the end to see D’Arcy and James standing together at the end of a small wooden pier by the lake. The rowboat is approaching the pier,and James pulls off his jacket, tossing it on the ground, and rolls up his sleeves. The next couple lines begin playing. He leans over to help the man out of the rowboat. He is wearing a blackhat with a large brim, so the viewer can still not see his face. He is also wearing a long black trenchcoat. “You'll try to care once in a while for meI will be there once in a while” The camera turns around to show Billy standing behind James and D’Arcy. He looks kind of emotional, and gently separates James and D’Arcy so he can approach the mystery man in the trenchcoat. The camera pans back to fill the entire screen with jus tBilly and the man a foot apart. Billy lifts off the hat with both hands, and lo and behold! It’s Jimmy. He looks sad, and clearly mouths the words, “I’m sorry” as the first, extended “you” issung by Billy. “Once in a while for you” (the extended “you” I was talking about) Jimmy sadly looks up at Billy for forgiveness during the next two lines. “Once in a while for you Once in a while for you” During the final piano solo, the band embraces for five or six seconds. The camera begins zooming out, starting to show the entire lake. After the embrace, the four walk together down the length of the pier. Billy flips Jimmy’s hat frisbee-style into the water. The“night sounds” continue again about ten seconds before the song ends. Billy opens the door to the cottage and lets the other three enter first. Then he follows and closes thedoor. A few seconds of “night sounds” after the band can no longer be seen.Now, the viewer sees virtually the same scene as the beginning: the entire lake with the cottage and horse-drawn carriage (now still) in the background. The moon and stars shine over thelake. The rowboat can be seen in the distance by the pier. Fade to black. Michael Rocket5780@aol.com (this is set in the early 1900's) As the music starts, you see a bright moon in a dark blue/black night sky. The light from the moon pours into a blonde girl's room, where she is hurriedly packing a bag, and running around the room, looking for things to pack. ( Horses run Once and awhile for you) The girl walks to the window and peers out it, seeing a large black horse gallop to underneath the window, with a dark haired boy on it ( her lover) ( The shades will draw Once and awhile for you ) She closes the curtains, than sneaks quietly past a room (you can see her parents sleeping inside the room through the cracked door) and she comes out the back door. Her lover quickly helps her onto the horse. ( Destiny will hide the sense of your time ) You can see down from the sky through dark trees blowing in the wind as they ride away from the small town. Zoom in on the girl looking back forlornly , the moon is the only lighting on her. ( Once and Awhile ) You see Billy through some trees playing a black piano. He is wearing a silky black suit, and is sitting next to a flowing river and underneath a huge weeping willow tree, whose branches are dragging on the ground and swaying in the breeze. ( once and Awhile for you) The couple rides to a small church on a little hill, over looking the town they left behind. ( The soldiers will fall ) The boy helps his girl down and they go inside the run-down church. ( Once and Awhile for you ) A priest lights candles ,.. ( the shades will crawl ) Then he walks over and draws the curtains closed for privacy ( the camera is watching th |
