Before the music starts it shows a kid walking up to door,with flowers
behind his back and a nervous smile.
The music kicks in:"And on her doorstep I saw that I was blind..." as he
looks into the living room window and sees the girl he was going to ask out
happily enjoying time with another guy.
*"What had mattered mattered little now...*
He drops the flowers,puts his head down,and walks down the walk.
*"Time to get up and take the long walk home..."*
It shows the back view of the boy walking,facing a long desolate road.
*"Do you remember when we first met..."*
He thinks about the time when they did meet.The scene goes to a young girl
chasing a little boy behind a line of stores on their bikes.
*The last"Ooh,ooh,I can't help but stay the same..."*
Back in the present a girl his age comes up and gives him the "what's
wrong?"look.You can see him explain,still with his head down as they walk
along.
Going past the length of the song and to some silence it shows that the
whole scene was in the t.v. and Billy is watching it.Then he looks up to the
camera with a sad look as he watched his childhood on t.v.
