# of Interpretations for Lily (My One and Only): 3 E-mail Aaron with your own video interpretations.

There is a childs birthday party in the backyard. It is a sunshiny day, and the grass is green, the lawn surrounded by a white picket fence. Many children are there, but one boy, who has not been invited, leans over the fence from the neighboring yard. His eyes follow one girl, a pretty blonde with curly hair in a pink dress. He watches with a dreamy, love struck look in his eyes.(I can hardly wait till I see her)

The scene fades into one where both the girl and the boy are older, teenagers now. They are in a school hallway, and she is surrounded by boys, and he stands away from her, looking with that same loving look as years ago. (In the hopes that she will catch a glimpse of me)

In the next part, he is in his darkened bedroom, looking through a pair of binoculars into her room. She is sitting on her bed, talking on the telephone. He sits back in his chair with a sad look as she gets up and leaves the room. Then, she comes back into her room. He looks over at her and she sees him, and waves, more of a "Why are you looking at me?" than a "Hi." (Lily my one and only) He smiles, and waves back energetically. She turns around and leaves the room again.

The following day, the boy feels as if she must like him, and decides to talk to her. (Will she or won't she want him?) She tries to avoid him a little, but he is relentless. Then her boyfriend, a football player/wrestler type, and he taps him on the shoulder, with a mean look. The boy backs off. (But an officer is knocking on my door)

He is back in his room, looking through the binoculars at her window. First, you only see her silhouette, but then her boyfriend comes up behind her and they kiss. He spins around in his chair, and puts the binoculars down (I wonder if she could only see me?) Then, he picks up a picture frame with a cutout from a newspaper. It is a photograph of her, and he smiles blissfully, as if he is the man in her room. He kisses the frame and sets it on the table (If I could kiss her I wouldn't mind the time....)

He gets up and walks next door (I can hardly wait til I see her). He rings the bell, and her boyfriend answers. He grabs him by the collar and waves his fist in front of his face. She walks up behind her boyfriend, and waves at him.(I swear I saw her raise her hand and wave). Then the boy gets punched out and the picture fades to black.

(Intro Music)

You see a high school boy sitting in a classroom desk in the back ofthe room.
He is sitting there staring at a girl a couple rows in front of him.

(Lily, my one and only, I can hardly wait till I see her)

You see this same boy outside of school later that day. The girl pulls out in her car and he follows her.

(Silly, I know I’m silly, cause I’m hanging in this tree, In the hopes that she will catch a glimpse of me, And through her window shade, I watch her shadow move, I wonder if she...)

It is now night and you see the boy jump a privacy fence.
He sneaks around the yard and climb up a tree.
You can see him looking into the window of the girl.
All you see is a silhouette of her changing clothes

(Lily, my one and only, Love is in my heart and in your eyes)

The window shade is suddenly drawn up and the two see each other.
The girl screams and the boy humorously falls out of the tree.

(Will she or won't she want him, No one knows for sure, But an officer is knocking at my door)

You see her call someone on the phone.
Later a policeman arrives and points to an unmarked police car in thedistance.

(And through her window shade, I watch her shadow move, I wonder if she could only see me?)

The scene changes and it’s the next night. The stalker/peeping tom has not yet learned his lesson. You see him again climb up the tree. This time the girl calmly looks outside. He thinks he saw look but is not sure and remains in the tree.

(And when I’m with her I feel fine, If I could kiss her I wouldn't mind the time it took to find, my lily, my one and only)

You see the girl run down the stairs and tell her parents. Immediately they phone in the police and the unmarked car from across the street pulls out.

(I can hardly wait till I see her, oh lily, I know you love me)

The two cops jump out of the car and start running after the boy through several lawns.

(Cause as they're draggin me away, I swear I saw her raise her hand and wave goodbye)

He is caught and as the police are taking him to the car. He is putting up a fight and is struggling to get free. As they begin to put him into the car you see that she has an evil looking grin on her face and waves goodbye.

It is the 1800s and Billy climbs over this gate and looks up in a window that belongs to Lily. The part where he says, "Silly, I know I'm silly cause I'm hanging in this tree, in the hopes that she will catch a glimpse of me" he climbs up a tree and tries to get a closer look at her. "I wonder if she..." when that part comes up she notices he's there and screams. Then Billy runs all the way home and says "Dang". Then he starts day dreaming of her. And they are walking by the pond and they kiss. The part where he says, "But an officer is knocking at my door" he's in his room playing the piano and then jumps out the window. He's back hiding in that same tree and then again turns around to see Lily once more. But then two police men tap at the tree and ask him to come down. He doesn't and he tries to get in the window. But Lily pushes him out and he lands in the police men's arms and get dragged away. Still Billy keeps his eyes on Lily "as there dragging me away I swear I saw her raise her hand and wave [good bye)" part she giggles and waves her hand and says good-bye. And tosses him a rose which lands on him.
