# of Interpretations for Jennifer Ever: 4 E-mail Aaron with your own video interpretations.

Setting: A dusty old town..maybe in Texas. Just at sunset, a girl wearing a skirt and with messy brown hair and a backpack with a leg from a pair of bluejeans sticking out runs to a bus stop. She has been crying, mascara running down her face. Dust is blowing everywhere as the sun goes down.

Flashback to a messy rundown house where her drunken father is beating her around. TV gets knocked over. Dog is barking. Father passes out and girl walks to kitchen crying and takes a drink of water. She is crying.

Back to the bus stop the girl trys to fix her hair. The dog follows her. She trys to send the dog home, but he doesn't go. The bus finally comes, but the driver won't let her on because she doesn't have enough money.

Just then Billy comes driving up in an old Camaro and stops for the girl. She gets in with her dog.

They laugh and smile while the sun sets and they make dust stunting around in town.

In a diner they eat pie and drink coffee. Its long after dark. Can see dog in car through window. James serves them.

Father wakes up and sees daughter gone, grabs his shotgun and hits the road. Drives past diner and sees dog in the car and stops.

Billy and girl are sitting close when father comes in, stumbling and fires a shot into the ceiling. The couple runs out the back door as James pulls a gun from behind the register. Father lays on the ground.

Billy and girl race off in the car, while James calls police-woman D'arcy.

as the video begins, the band is playing at a crowded house party, ala 1979. The band looks just like they did back in like 1990, or when they played "slunk" on Vieuphoria. anyways, when the lyrics start, we see a girl on the screen. she has midnight balck hair, a yellow tank top, and long jeans on. she has dark mascara and is very beautiful...she just has somthing majestic about her.she's alos dancing. next we see a boy, he's about 16, the same age as the girl. he has short black hair and is sort of skinny...he just looks like a normal guy. him and his long blond haired friend are sharing a beer and a joint, while he stares at the girl whom he likes . anyway, during the course of the song we have wierd, slanting shots of the band playing.we also see some kids fighting and then one of them falls over and they stop fighting...it's just a normal dumb party. some time before the song ends, the guy and some friends leave and get into their car...they start driving. when the song has this part, the little bass drum powered buildup to "jennifer, jennifer ever" part, near the end of the song, the car they are driving hits the same girl rthat he loves. lights flash all over and the guys rush out of car toward the girl. her face is shaded and the boy cannot ever look at her. she is dead. the boy sits on the curb, puts his head in his hands, and the video ends

Finally, my own song! *(The music starts)* This video is animated. It starts with a shot of a run-down fair, full of scary clown faces, bright lights, fireworks, and the mandatory white trash. A little girl stands at the gate holding her ticket (5 or 6 years old, long blond hair, big blue eyes, looks like me--Jennifer!) and looking just amazed.

*She always waits for someone, someone who'll never leave...*

Jennifer walks in, looking around at everything, not bothered by the dirty old men, the broken rides, the loose dogs, etc.

*Reliving her decision, her arms cover me...*

She walks up to a dart game and pulls herself up to look over the counter.

*My couple noone, to anyone believe, she always waits for someone...*

She gets a hand up from the kid behind the counter, who gives her three darts. The first two miss.

*For someone just like me*

Jennifer lines her third shot up and pops the balloon! She points to the biggest white teddy bear hanging from the ceiling and gets it.

*Jennifer, Jennifer ever, Jennifer...*

She pulls the bear down with her and kisses it on the nose. The bear comes to life and picks her up, giving her a shoulder ride around the carnival.

*Jennifer always tells me, please don't be afraid...*

She looks over to another girl, about 10, short blond hair (an older Jennifer), walking to her friends holding two cups of pop. She waves to the little Jennifer.

*I only want to hold you, I only want you to stay...*

The little Jennifer keeps walking, over to the merry-go-round, where she sees another Jennifer (about 14 years old, short hair, glasses) watching someone walk out the gate, looking absolutely crushed.

*My couple noone, to anyone believe, she always waits for someone, someone...*

The little Jennifer walks up to the older Jennifer and gives her the teddy bear.

*Someone just like me!*

The bear gives the older Jennifer a bear hug, and the little Jennifer walks off.

*Jennifer, Jennifer Ever, Jennifer...*

The little Jennifer keeps walking, toward the huge roller coaster, and passes a baby Jennifer in a stroller that laughs at little Jennifer.

*Jennifer, Jennifer Ever, Jennifer...*

She gets to the huge roller coaster, but can't get on because she's too short. She turns around and heads back for the gate.

*My couple, noone, to anyone believe, she always waits for someone...*

The other Jennifers find their ways to the gate, the mad one with the teddy bear, the 10-year-old with her friends, the baby getting pushed by an even older Jennifer, a punked-out teenage Jennifer carrying a lunchbox, and a Jennifer so small she can barely walk.

*Someone...someone just like me!*

The little Jennifer mouths that line while the others greet each other.

*Jennifer, Jennifer Ever, Jennifer*

As the song ends, the camera zooms out to show the entire carnival again.

A trippy little bit of self-promotion...but hell's bells, what can you do?

guitar intro) a little house in the suburbs at night. inside, a man and a woman are caught up in a heated argument over something. the man is throwing things and yelling and the woman is yelling too, but is starting to cry. then, the man storms out of the front door with enough force to knock it off its hinges. (she always waits for someone/someone who'll never leave) a little girl comes down from her hiding place on the steps leading upstairs. she obviously heard the whole thing. the little eavesdropper resembles carol anne, that little girl who got sucked into the t.v. in poltergeist. long pale blonde hair, big blue eyes, so cute you could just puke on yourself. (reliving her decision/her arms cover me) little girl stands by the doorway and waits for daddy to return (my couple, noone...) cut to billy singing into a microphone whilst he plays his guitar. camera pulls back and we see the band in gish-era look, playing in a pure white room. (like a gap ad, gut not as annoying or pointless) (she always waits for someone...) back to the girl, no in play clothes and waiting at the door at daytime. mom walks by her, gives her daughter a pitied look and walks away. (someone...) girl strains her eyes--she sees something, but she's not sure what it is. (someone just like me) back to billy as he sings the "just like me" part, looking up to the camera with those beautiful eyes of his. little girl ventures outside and stares at whatever is on her sidewalk. it's billy, wearing the same clothes as before. he's beckoning to her and is singing "jennifer, jennifer ever..." when he sings the final "jennifer", she takes his hand and the scene changes. during the guitar solo,we see jenny and billy making mud pies, playing catch, and various other things that kids do. from time to time, the camera switches from this to james playing the solo in the white room. she gets older with everything they do, age 6-10-14. (jennifer always tells me...) when she's 18, you see her in her room playing cards with billy. mom walks by and peeks in, but all she sees is her daughter playing cards by herself. as it turns out, billy is her imaginary friend, or is he? billy is looking at jennifer in a longing way, obviously not paying attention to the game. he puts down his cards and strokes her hair (i just want to hold you...) then, he tenderly kisses her on the lips. soon, they're on top of one another dry humping. (my couple, noone...) meanwhile, mom is still looking on and when she sees jennifer gyrating on the floor, she thinks she's lost her mind. she barges in, grabs her daughter by the arm and drags her out of the room, leaving a bewildered billy behind. (she always waits for someone...) no we see her in therapy and the therapist is analyzing her. billy is looking on from an open window forlornly. "jennifer..." now we see he in a movie theater with a dumb jock, making out madly. billy is in the back row, looking as if he's going to die right then and there. "jennifer ever, jennifer" back to band (my couple noone) billy and d'arcy are playing their instruments and singing. back to jennifer's house at "to anyone believe", where we see an older jennifer and jock guy (mid twenties) fighting and then, jock leaves. it's deja vu all over again. as always, jennifer is at her place at the door. (she always waits for someone) jen gasps. she sees someone. anybody guess who? why billy of course. he's singing "someone just like me", looking dejected. (jennifer) she runs to him crying and embraces him, saying "i'm sorry" over and over again. back to the band playing "jennifer ever" back to billy comforting her, singing "jennifer" as he blissfully closes his eyes and kisses her hair. camera focuses up to the moon hanging above them, which turns into one of jimmy's drums as he continues playing it until the song ends. then, everyone puts down their instruments and gather around the camera, looking into it curiously. d'arcy pokes at the lens hesitantly, like it's gonna bite while james breaks into a large, cheesy grin. billy's like "woah" and jimmy tries to adjust it. the camera falls to its side ad the picture gets messed up. the last thing we hear is "goddammit, jimmy!!" (james) "sorry." (fade to black)
