# of Interpretations for Heavy Metal Machine: 1 E-mail Aaron with your own video interpretations.

I don't have like a set formula of shots for it or anything. My idea is to do various moments in the making of any band. The main character will of course be based on Billy. In the first verse he'll be a child, watching his parents fighting, finding out he's not like others (listening to records, shit like that...) Once it gets to the line "let me die, for rock n' roll," he gets his first guitar, he's in his teens. The first chorus is him practicing, we see things like his fingers bleeding and blistered, him throwing the guitar to the ground right before the end of the first chorus, where Billy starts repeating "heavy metal heavy metal machine." When this part of the chorus starts, it cuts to the band, Billy in the Everlasting Gaze leather dress, the rest of the band in black. Really dark, seemingly on a stage. Corgan doing his weird body contortion techniques, shots of the left half of corgan's face...weird art music video kinda stuff. The second verse we see things like Billy meeting James and D'arcy, playing clubs, all that early band stuff (a big emphasis placed on the audience, who we don't see during the cuts to the band in the dark, the crowds are going nuts while the Pumpkins are playing during the verses, and they won't be playing heavy metal machine), eventually leading to him throwing the guitar down at a show before arriving at the same part of the second chorus, the "heavy metal, heavy metal machine" part...it goes back to the band with the strobes, really wanna be gothic wow look at em rock like motherfuckers kinda shit. In the last verse we see the band signing their record deal...as it goes into the last "heavy metal, heavy metal machine" part, which sounds metallic, we go to back to the band in the dark, only this time it's light enough to see them really well...they have wires coming from their bodies going up to the ceiling, and there are strange machines all along the sides and back of the set they're on. This time we see the audience also, who is almost terrified, or at least disturbed, at what has happened to their favorite band. In the very end, when it's just the music, Billy's doing more of his weird body contortions, the band is rocjking to no end, then at the very end we see a hand push down a giant red lever, and the last shot, as the music stops, is the band members all falling to the ground and the crowd leaving.
