*** As soon as the music kicks in, the video starts with a shot of a vision. Now this vision is rather blank and morbid to start. But then as the intro fades and the synth. music starts ( before the 1st verse) the scene is rotating and begins to clear up into a bright shot of a room. The room seems to be filled with sad, mourning people. They are in a funeral home of sorts and the camera keeps spinning slowly. As the music progresses..... the scenes change with each rotation. ( keepin mind that the rotation is slow enough to give the idea of each scene to the viewer ).The next scenes generate a sort of lifetime... going backwards. But the only thing is that the view that you are seeing is of the person's life. ( in other words.... a person looking around and seeing all that is happening through out his life, but it's more or less a count down). Each scene has mearly the same characters in them except they are always changing.... from old to young....Then you begin to see changes in the character's lives.... birthdays of yourself.. ( the camera shot )..... and all the rest.... all kindsof things that would happen in your everyday life.... And every once in a while.... the shot will have the viewer looking at his watch and even though the scenes are in a backwards realm.... the hands on the watch will be spinning clockwise. An excessive taunt to look at his watch and look around at his past life.... the idea is of such, that and old man rethinks his life until birth..... Then, at the end of the song near the final crunching sounds given by the music....a flat image of birth, peace, beginning will appear. As this ends and the outro " life is so strange " repeated..... the camera will come to a complete stop and suddenly change directions in its turn.... except the image will fade and reappear a little after with a scene of Billy lying in a casket in the funeral home.... He then opens his eyes on the last " life is so strange ". ***

*As the song starts, you see the band inside a recording studio. The producer speaks as he gestures with his hands informing Billy of what he wants him to change. Billy nods as he begins strumming his guitar to the music annoying and tiredly.*

(Life is so strange when you don't know. How can you tell where you're going to. You can't be sure of any situation. Something could change, and then you won't know.)
*The producer reemerges and holds his hands up as if to signal, "OK, let's try this one more time." Billy rolls his head back exasperated as D'Arcy takes off her guitar and headphones and leaves. Billy motions to her and looks accusingly at the producer and he and the rest of the band, take off their gear and Billy throws his guitar to the floor. The producer asks them not to leave but, as they walk out, mouths, "Fine! Go!"*

(Ask yourself where do we go from here? It seems so all too near. Just as far beyond as I can see. I still don't know what this all means to me.) *The band is now outside of the studio and Billy and D'Arcy are arguing. Billy mouths, "where do we go from here?" and crosses his arms at D'Arcy awaiting her answer. She shrugs tiredly as Billy sighs and looks out toward the fading horizon as he sings, "Just as far beyond where I can see. I still don't know what this all means to me." He smiles slightly as he steps forward.*

(Tell yourself. I have nowhere to go. I don't know what to do. And I don't even know the time of day. I guess it doesn't matter any way.)
*Now the band drives off in an old, beat up car. The producer runs out after them wielding a contract. Jimmy flips him off from the back seat. The camera then pans around to the front seat where Billy is driving. He sings with a carefree, Billy like, smile as James, who is sitting passenger seat, looks back at D'Arcy smiles and begins laughing for no reason. Jimmy smiles as they drive on.*

(Life is so strange. Destination unknown. When you don't know. Your destination. Something could change. It's unknown. And then you won't know. Destination unknown. )
*You see different shots of the band trading seats in the car. One of D'Arcy hangin' out a window careless, one of Billy stretched out sleeping in the back, etc.. The camera alternatively switches back to the band playing in the studio happily. They're all smiling and look revived.*

(You ask yourself. When will my time come. Has it all been said and done? I know I'll leave when it's my time to go. 'Till then I'll carry on with what I know.)
*Back to Billy in the passenger seat. He sings a bit preoccupied and worried until he smiles as he sings, "'till then I'll carry on with what I know." The camera pulls back to show the dawn rising.*

(Life is so strange. Destination unknown. When you don't know. Your destination. Something could change. It's unknown. And then you won't know. Destination unknown. )
*For the first set, you see Billy on top of the car. He is standing on the hood as they drive along a desert surrounded road. His arms are reaching up as he sings happily. For the second set, you see the band rawkin' out in the studio. They play happily and do bandish things.*

(Life is so strange. )
*You see everyone asleep but Billy who is driving the car and singing. As the weird techno pops start up, the car breaks down and Billy tries to restart it. Unsuccessful, they all get out and begin walking. The camera ends on a shot of the band walking together from the back.*

Video opens with shot of front of very large house with parents loading luggage into a expensive car (bentley, rolls royce) and hugging a teenage girl goodbye. She has a very obvious sad face on. Parents pull out of gate and as it closes Billy and James slip in driving exotic sports cars (A Modena 360 and the Audi AVUS Quattro come to mind). They are dressed as to resemble teenagers. They pull up to an elaborate staircase leading to the front door. They get out of their cars and the girl runs out of the house and into Billy's arms. She hugs James and they all go inside. Billy gets on the phone and calls his buddies and they start a party. An SP look alike cover band arrives and plays the song from whatever it's at by now. 1979ish scenes with people making out, partying, and having fun continue on for awhile. Cuts to shot of Billy and "his" girl in a bedroom upstairs fooling around in the parent's bedroom. The girl hears something outside and runs to the window overlooking the driveway. The parents are back. Billy grabs her and runs downstairs alerting Jimmy and James, each with supermodel type women. They burst out the door and dive into their cars (hoodslide?). Jimmy mounts his harley with his woman, and Billy and James burn out on the brick driveway. Out now on the road, the father (somewhat young) chases Billy and his daughter. A wild chase proceeds on a mountain road, and ends up in a large feild. Billy spots a fast approaching bullet train (to osaka..for the real fans) and guns the car, outaccelerating the presuing father. Billy beats the train and the father skids to a stop as an excessivley long train rolls by. Billy and his woman drive into the traditional sunset.
