(opening music playing)
A young couple are walking down the street, holding hands. They are both attractive; they have that "girl/boy next door" quality. -Note: the whole video is shot in black and white, but a brown tint was added it post-shooting ;) Boy walks girl to front of her house, gives her a sweet kiss good-bye, girl waves, then walks to the house. (with the sugar sickness, you spy the kidnap kid who kids you to oblivion) Girl is now in her bedroom; longingly, she picks a frame with a picture of her boyfriend. He is smiling, he looks like the perfect guy, you know, like a guy in a, well some sort of commercial. (its the perfect hassle for the perfumed kiss, he makes you miss him more than home) Suddenly, the girl seems distraught, she looks out the window, and we see what she is thinking..... (you love him, you love hime more than this) We see the girl is remembering an argument with her boyfriend, Mr. Perfect (no pun intended). We don't actually hear what they are saying, just by their expressions, it's apparent that it's pretty bad though. (you love him, and you cannot you can't resist) Suddenly, the boy clenches the girl by the shoulders and throws her against a wall. (past sidewalk ashes, a last lovers arc) The girl is sitting there, weeping, the boy just looks over disgustingly and leaves, slamming the door behind him. (you come apart to intertwine) Fade out- fade back in. It's the next day, the girl and boy are hanging out in girl's bedroom. (it was all so simple as you watched him move, across the darkness in your room) The guy sort of crawls over to the girl on the bed, and starts kissing her, he obviously wants to go further, but the girl is resistant. (you love him, you love him for yourself) The guy keeps on pursuing her, and she keeps on resisting. (you love him, and no one, no one else) The guy throws the girl down on the bed, slaps her across the face. He continues to hit her, then leaves, looking pretty angry at first, then with a smirk. (and the winding vines, the pretty boys dive, and thru the pinhole stars, into the shadow mind, you will lose him then on some gentle dawn, this boy is here and gone) Through this verse, we see the band. They are playing their instruments for a small crowd. Then we see the main girl in the crowd, who suddenly leaves. (you love him) Girl is at home, calls boy, he arrives. (you love him for yourself) Boy gets his attitude going, girl just starts to laugh) (you love him) Girl pulls knife off of dresser. She is all sweaty, obviously worked up, she is shaking, she looks at boy starts screaming and pointing the big knife. (and no one, no one else) Boy is putting his arms out, trying to convince girl to put down the knife. (you love him, you love him more than this) Girl nods her head and starts to calm down. (you love him and you cannot you can't resist) Boy is talking, we can't actually hear him, but we see he is saying stuff like 'you know i love you' (you love him.....you love him-over and over again.) Girl puts down knife, goes to boy, hugs him, apologizes hugs, kisses boy.
