October 19, 2007 - Tower Theater - Philadelphia, PA, US
Concert review by David Boelker (davidboelker at hotmail dot com)

This is my third Pumpkins show in the last 15 years. mellon Collie arena tour, Radio City Music Hall Acoustic benefit, and the Tower. Before I forget, the reason that they played as (one of) the closing numbers, "I Love Rock N' Roll" by Joan Jett, was hopefully not lost in the fun. Joan Jett grew up in Upper Darby, PA, where the venue was. Eityher way, it was cool as hell.

Can you believe they played "Drown" and "Set the Ray to Jerry"? I can't. What an experience to have those played after so many years. Those were life changers for me. Rreally.

Overall, it was a good mix of old and new, and hey played some of the new ones so well that I am going to push myself through Zeitgeist a few more times, as I am no longer the impressionable teneager that fell in love with their sound, and stayed in love with it.

Well worth the price, good venue (thought the sound was not great in the upper balcony), and I hope they come back soon.
