April 25, 2003 - Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver, BC, Canada Concert review by mitch (neverevermore at hotmail dot com) The concert was mindblowing and eyeopening to a world of rock and roll that hasn't been seen in decades. the shameless guitar rock of zwan was spectacular!! Billy is a god of the guitar, matt is a demi-god and Dave...well dave just kind of stands there, but seems to be enjoying himself anyway. the opening band the Childrens hour, weren't bad, just not the kind of music that should really be opening for a band like Zwan. the crowd was smallish and usually vancouver crowds suck but there seemed to be a good repore between the band an crowd, with Billy even making reference to how there was a Canucks playoff game that night just across the street and how he was happy people showed up to the show on this "vancouver city holiday". anyway the show rocked from start to finish and when billy introduced the band the biggest pops went to Paz (who is disturbingly hot,) which encited chants of "who likes short shorts"!!! and then jimmy (who is a master of the skins. It was great especially after the pumpkins disasterous show at summersault here three years ago. Set list. endless summer Declarations of faith lyric Love song? El sol jesus I with something else settle down heartsongs broken heart baby lets rock Black sabbath honestly encore mary star of the sea/something else? Way to go Zwan
